Dear Justinas, Jolanta, and Dovile,

I decided to research tours of Lithuania in January 2011.  Based upon the prior testimonials from those who chose the Lithuania Experience Tour, it sounded ideal.  I emailed the company numerous times before the start of the trip and each response was quick, polite, professional, courteous and personal.  Justinas and his team could not have demonstrated better customer service.  One very important question that I asked was how I could trace my Lithuanian roots.  I was sent an email address even to assist with that. As a result I was able to obtain several names and addresses whom I contacted.  Because of this assistance, I was able to locate one side of my family in southwestern Lithuania.  Even if I had not, Justinas stated that he could have arranged a drive through the birthplace of one of my grandfather's en route to Kaunas.
This was the beginning of an exemplary tour.  It was so well planned. The sights that we visited allowed our group to deeply appreciate Lithuania's beauty, history, culture, and our heritage.  My daughter, Laura, and I were able to take 2 days to visit with our relatives.  According to Laura, this experience could have been part of a movie script.  It was that phenomenal.
We had a very friendly, competent and reliable driver, Jonas.  And we had Loretta to lead and guide us.  She was exceptionally patient, kind, and personalized our journey to make it so unforgettable from the special stops along the way to the beautiful Lithuanian music on the bus.  She intervened for me at KGB Museum so that I could speak to an official.  He gave me the the email address of the archives in Vilnius so that I could begin research about my remaining relatives born in Lithuania.  Loretta cared that much.

Did we like it our trip? I'm 100% Lithuanian as all my grandparents were born there. I loved Lithuania, and I dearly miss it.  I may have been born in the USA, but my genes are 'homesick'. Yes, I loved my Lithuanian experience very much.  Lithuania is a safe and beautiful country, and even if you have no Lithuanian roots, the country and the guidance of Lithuanian Tours will reward you with priceless memories.
