Testimonials
I hereby wish to thank you for the travel arrangements during our recent stay in Vilnius. Our group consisted of 8 elder men one of which being tied to wheelchair. Travel arrangements were excellent with the exception of the lack of missing vehicle for transporting a wheelchair. We had great difficulties at arrival to haul the disabled member into the bus. On the second day the travel agency however managed to arrange a second vehicle where the disabled member of our group could be lifted. In our country small buses with wheelchair lifting platforms are plentily available. This is why we could not understand your problem. The hotel City Park was superbly situated right opposite to the cathedral. It was easily accessible even with wheelchair. The staff in both the reception and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Your staff was very helpful and they were always plentily available when necessary. Even during the weekend Lina could be reached by phone. The guide Neringa was a delightful person and spoke excellent Finnish. She knew the history of your country well and coud also answer our questions of todays Lithuania. Neringa also managed to arrange access for the buses right into the center of the machinery exhibition in Kaunas. The restaurants booked for us were easy to access with wheelchair and the food served was absolutely satisfactory. While planning a new trip to Vilnius we certainly will ask for your quotation again. Best Regards Antero Aaltonen Helsinki, Finland. |

On the 2nd of October, 2009 at Vingis Park - Rugby Square there competed Vilnius rugby team “Gelezinis Vilkas” against the “Bury St. Edmunds” RUFC team from England. Mr. John Kulakovskis was the judge of this match. “Bury St. Edmunds” team does not play in the elite England Guinness league - but it’s progress is astonishing. First, during the last three years the team climbed up and now is playing in the 6th division in accordance with the strength. At this season they have achieved three victories and one defeat and are proud of the second place in the tournament table. From this year the team is led by new coach Mr. Dwain Brown from South Africa, who highlights young coaches education and children’s attraction to rugby. However, despite the fact, that this England team is really great, “Bury St. Edmunds” suffered defeat in the competition against the Lithuanian team! This time Lithuanian team “Gelezinis Vilkas” was really powerful and impregnable! It is great that men from England did not plunge in the sadness after the game and enjoyed the night life of Vilnius! Travel agency “Visit Lithuania” - which organized all this rugby tour - borrowed a guitar to “Bury St. Edmunds” RUFC team to create the real party atmosphere! |
