| Dear Visit Lithuania, I would like to thank you all for making our trip to Lithuania a memorable one. We had a fantastic trip and our only regret was that it didn't last longer. Your staff was the most accomodating I have ever encountered. Your assistance with contacting our relatives, compliance with all of our requests, as well as the provision of very knowledgable and experienced guides made our journey to Lithuania enjoyable from the moment we landed in Vilnius until our departure. The quality and extensiveness of the brochures and other information you provided was without parallel. Your services to tourists could be classified "5 Star". We were also very pleased with our accomodations. The hotels were quite luxurious, spacious and comfortable. The staff was very cordial and helpful. The food was great and inexpensive by our standards. This allowed for the purchase of more amber jewelry than we had planned !!!! A great bargain! All the people we encountered in Lithuania were friendly and helpful and almost all could speak English. We were greatly impressed with the city of Vilnius, as well as Klaipeda and Palanga. Everywhere renovation is occurring, and the cities are beautiful and also very historical. Lithuania can indeed be proud of its progress and its standing as a member of the European Union. It was first-rate! The tour allowed us to see a variety of features of the country. We viewed both city and country life, the coast and the countryside. We climbed a sand dune, saw a "Spit" for the first time, viewed the Baltic Sea and hiked the Hill of Witches. What a wonderful experience!! A special thank you to Monika for organizing our "individual trip" so expertly, to Rimas for all of his assistance in the United States, to Lina for accompanying me to the Historical Archives in Vilnius, and to Tautvidas for weathering a week of touring with 4 women.
